Welcome to Cato-Meridian High School
Home of the Blue Devils

Welcome to the Cato-Meridian High School web page.  It is my pleasure to be serving my second year as high school principal at CMHS.  Prior to this position, I was an administrator at various levels at a neighboring school district for ten years.  Before going into administration, I was a teacher at a variety of levels for seven years, both on the west coast and the east coast. 

Cato-Meridian is a small rural community, located 25 minutes west of Syracuse, NY.  CMHS incorporates grades 9-12 and totals approximately 355 students and 65 faculty.  We offer a number of educational opportunities, athletic programs, fine arts opportunities, and extracurricular activities.  CMHS offers more than 13 college level courses and Advanced Placement courses.  Currently, over 80% of our graduates attend post-secondary schools.

CMHS offers an excellent array of co-curricular activities for students to participate in.  We have over 16 different interscholastic sports programs in which students compete locally and statewide.  There are also 15 different clubs that appeal to various student interests.

As a community member, I am extremely pleased with opportunities available to our youth and anticipate even greater offerings and academic rigor when my young children enter the doors of CMHS.  We have an excellent faculty and supportive community that have kept this school running for many years and will continue to do their best for our students to “stand among the finest.”
