Three Cato-Meridian Junior-Senior High School students have been recognized at the national level for their outstanding performances on the Preliminary Scholarship Aptitude Test (PSAT) and Advanced Placement examinations. 

Denis Kosiakov, Elijah Haga and Elizabeth Hess have earned the Rural and Small Town Recognition Award, which is given to top-scoring students who reside in locations considered rural or small towns, based on data from the National Center for Education Statistics.

“I am extremely proud of our three students who were recognized at the national level,” said Junior-Senior High School Principal Jennifer Kelly. “Their hard work, perseverance and dedication to their education in school is apparent in their daily lives. Fantastic job, and here’s to a bright future.”

All three Cato-Meridian students said they were excited to learn of their achievements. Their academic honors can be included in college and scholarship applications.
