If so, Cato-Meridian Central School District wants you to be our next Varsity Basketball Coach! We are looking for both boys’ and girls’ coaches/program leaders.

Responsibilities: As our Varsity Basketball Coach, you will:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive basketball program that emphasizes skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
• Inspire and motivate student-athletes to excel on and off the court, fostering a positive and inclusive team culture.
• Plan and lead engaging practice sessions, focusing on fundamental skills, strategy, and game preparation.
• Manage game-day strategies, making critical decisions under pressure to secure victories.
• Serve as a positive role model and mentor for our student-athletes, promoting good sportsmanship and character development.

Qualifications:

• Previous basketball coaching experience, preferably at the high school level.
• A deep understanding of the game of basketball and a commitment to ongoing learning and improvement.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• The ability to work collaboratively with athletes, parents, and school staff.
• New York State Coaching Certification
