Cato-Meridian Elementary School's fourth grade level recently held its annual "Proud To Be An American" essay contest, sponsored by the American Legion Ladies' Auxiliary. Students wrote about all of the reasons why they are proud to be Americans. Fourth grade teachers read the pieces, then selected finalists and overall winners.

Finalists were: Grantley Grady, Victoria Rich, Camden Maloney, Henry Cole, Morgan Giacolone, and Maya Wegman. Congratulations to our two winners, Camden Maloney and Morgan Giacolone!
