Elementary Students Showcase Problem-Solving Skills at Perennial Math Regionals
Cato-Meridian Elementary School students recently shined in the Perennial Math regional competition, held at Jordan-Elbridge High School on Saturday, April 13th. Coached by sixth-grade teacher Claudine Labeille, students Skylar Blake, Harlan Cardinale, Jackson Cole, Alexa Hernandez, and Luna Schmidt achieved first place in the team competition. In total, 17 teams participated in the event. In the individual competition, Hernandez earned first place out of 74 sixth-grade students. The competitions consisted of word problems with multiple steps, as well as computation problems.
