Cato-Meridian Junior-Senior High School senior Eleanor Bell recently performed in the New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) Senior High Area All-State Festival. Bell sang with the mixed chorus as a soprano one.

“Eleanor is a fantastic musician,” said chorus teacher Tyler Eighmey. “She is a hard worker, taking special care to fine-tune each phrase she sings, and brings a sense of confidence and excitement with each performance.”

The festival was held in Ford Hall at Ithaca College and included performances from the concert band, orchestra, treble chorus, and mixed chorus. Bell performed alongside musicians from Broome, Cayuga, Cortland, Onondaga, Seneca, Tompkins, and Tioga counties.
