Cato-Meridian Students See Writing Come to Life at Echoes Showcase

The Cato-Meridian Junior-Senior High School gymnasium was full of music, laughter and applause on Wednesday, March 5th, as the school hosted actors from the REV Theatre Company in the annual Echoes showcase.

Each year, sixth through eighth grade students throughout Central New York submit creative writing pieces to Echoes, one of the largest writing competitions in the country. The REV Theatre selects dozens of pieces out of the thousands that are submitted, and the pieces are brought to life with costumes, musical instruments, and characters.

Cato-Meridian sixth through eighth graders watched as the actors performed skits, songs, poems and more. Following the showcase, they cheered on their peers who were recognized for their outstanding writing talents.
