Thirteen Cato-Meridian Junior-Senior High School students were recently inducted into National Honor Society (NHS). To be selected for NHS, students had to earn a cumulative grade point average of 90 percent or higher, demonstrate leadership and responsibility, perform acts of service, and showcase positive character traits.

Held in the Junior-Senior High School library, the NHS induction ceremony was led by officers Nathan Dennis (President), Joseph Bonanno (Vice President), Elaina Williams (Secretary), and Eleanor Bell (Treasurer), who described each NHS pillar: character, scholarship, leadership, and service.

NHS advisor Eric Robinson, Interim Superintendent Michael Hoose, Board of Education Vice President Timothy Hulbert, and Junior-Senior High School Principal Jennifer Kelly praised the inductees for their dedication to their school and community.

Current members introduced each inductee by reading a short biography about the student. After inductees were welcomed, they lit a candle and recited the NHS oath, then received their certificates. Following the ceremony, inductees were honored at a reception.

2025 NHS inductees are: Maggie Brown, Everett Cox, Hannah Hulbert, Gennavive Kerr, Megan Kyle, Ella Lasinski, Rachel Lighthall, Dixie McLain-Tindall, Rylee Napolitano, Bailey Planck, Curro Romera, Kennedy Taylor, and James Wilkinson, Jr.

They join current NHS members Eleanor Bell, Joseph Bonanno, Amber Clarke, Hannah Deacy, Nathan Dennis, Bailey Impson, Sophia Kelly, Jacob Lighthall, Haley McCarthy, Myah Meddley, Caitlin Salmonsen, Finley Stonecypher, Elaina Williams, and Sophia Zogby.
