Pending the appropriation of State funds of the New York State Legislature, Scholarships for Academic Excellence will be awarded to three Cato-Meridian students according to the criteria below.

One student with the highest score will be awarded an award of $1500 while the other two will receive $500 each.  

In order to use the benefits of this scholarship, the winner must be in attendance as a full-time matriculated student at an approved NEW YORK STATE college/postsecondary institution in the Fall. Winners who enroll in an out-of-state institution are not eligible. 

The high school shall select their winner(s) by computing a weighted average of the scores on the Regents examinations taken by its students prior to their senior year, in all of the following subjects:

Comprehensive English………...weight of three

Algebra II Trigonometry………..weight of three

Global Studies…………………..weight of one

U.S. History……………………..weight of one

Science (two courses)…………...weight of one for each
