This past weekend, Cato-Meridian’s Maggie Brown took her talents to one of the most prestigious events in high school track and field, the Loucks Games, held just outside New York City. With over 3,500 athletes from 424 teams across 9 U.S. states and 6 Canadian provinces, the competition was fierce.

Brown rose to the occasion in the pentathlon. She finished an impressive fourth overall, breaking her own school record in the process. Her outstanding performance officially qualified her for the state championship meet in Middletown later this year.

As it stands, Maggie's mark is now the second-highest in the entire state, a remarkable achievement that reflects her dedication, talent, and competitive spirit.
