Mr. Roger Misso, SRO
-
My name is Roger Misso, and I am the School Resource Officer at Cato-Meridian Jr-Sr High School. My cell phone number is (315) 209-9561. I live in Red Creek with my wife, Sandy. We have three adult children and four grandkids. I grew up in western New York in the town of Albion where I attended Albion Central School. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Physics from SUNY Brockport, with minors in Math and Military Science. During college I enrolled in ROTC and was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the US Army upon graduation. I later transferred to the New York Army National Guard and climbed the ranks, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel after serving over 27 years. I experienced one tour of combat duty in Afghanistan.
In May 2018, after twenty-nine years, I retired from my second career; a Sergeant from the New York State Police. As a road Trooper I served as the SRO at Red Creek Central and North Rose-Wolcott Central School Districts. As a Sergeant, I mentored and supervised Troopers at numerous stations and various scenes. I worked with local school officials and participated in their lockdown drills. I have worked all around New York State, most recently in Zone Two, headquartered in Auburn.
My training and experiences in the Army and law enforcement will help me provide a safer school and safer kids. The faculty and staff can expect me to be an integral part of the Cato-Meridian Safety Team. I consider myself a subject-matter-expert on law enforcement and legal issues, and I believe a collaborative approach with educators, parents, and students will provide a means to maintain a safe and effective learning environment. I am available to talk to students and staff about safety, bullying and social media issues, or anything else from my previous careers that may be of help.
Mr. Mark Lovell, SRO

My name is Mark Lovell and I am the School Resource Officer at the Cato-Meridian Elementary School. I live in Baldwinsville with my wife and we have three children. I grew up in Elbridge, NY where I attended Jordan-Elbridge Schools and I received an Associate’s Degree in Computer Science from Cayuga Community College.
I just completed a thirty-year career as a Trooper with the New York State Police. I spent my entire career in the Central New York area where my duties included: traffic safety and enforcement, criminal and non-criminal investigations, and community policing. I also served as a Field Training Officer, where I taught new graduates of the State Police Academy how to perform the duties of a Trooper.
I am excited about my new career as a School Resource Officer at Cato-Meridian. Throughout my career as a Trooper, I worked with children of all ages in various situations. I will use my experience to aid in protecting and supporting the students of Cato-Meridian. I also want to be a resource for the faculty and staff. I am available to talk to students about safety, bullying and social media issues or anything else from my previous career that may be of help.
