School Resource Officers
Mr. David Dominick, SRO
-
My name is David Dominick, and I am the School Resource Officer at the Cato-Meridian Jr./Sr. High School. I live in Skaneateles with my wife and two children. I grew up in Marcellus, NY where I attended Marcellus Central Schools. I earned my regents diploma and then went on to attend Onondaga Community College and Mount Vernon Nazarene College, before joining the New York State Police. I began my career as a Trooper by serving the Elbridge community, as well as the New York State Thruway before being promoted to the rank of Sergeant and being transferred to Long Island. I completed a 25+ year career serving in many different assignments across New York state, retiring as a Station Commander.
The culmination of my career as a New York State Trooper and my current assignment as the School Resource Officer continues a long heritage in my family. Both my father and brother served/serve in Law Enforcement, and my mother served as a School Superintendent, my sister-in-law is a school administrator, and my wife substitute teaches.
I am also the music director and youth leader at the Auburn Church of the Nazarene. I am an avid SCUBA diver, can walk you through Disney backwards with my eyes closed, and love to travel.
I am excited as I begin my career as a School Resource Officer at Cato-Meridian, and I encourage you to come by and say hello as I am somewhat new to this community. Additionally, I want to be a resource for the faculty and staff, and am available to talk to parents and/or students about safety, bullying, social media issues or anything else from my previous career that may be of help.
Again, I am so happy to be here and to be a part of the Cato-Meridian Family!
Go Blue Devils!!!
Mr. Mark Lovell, SRO

My name is Mark Lovell and I am the School Resource Officer at the Cato-Meridian Elementary School. I live in Baldwinsville with my wife and we have three children. I grew up in Elbridge, NY where I attended Jordan-Elbridge Schools and I received an Associate’s Degree in Computer Science from Cayuga Community College.
I completed a thirty-year career as a Trooper with the New York State Police. I spent my entire career in the Central New York area where my duties included: traffic safety and enforcement, criminal and non-criminal investigations, and community policing. I also served as a Field Training Officer, where I taught new graduates of the State Police Academy how to perform the duties of a Trooper.
I am excited about my career as a School Resource Officer at Cato-Meridian. Throughout my career as a Trooper, I worked with children of all ages in various situations. I will use my experience to aid in protecting and supporting the students of Cato-Meridian. I also want to be a resource for the faculty and staff. I am available to talk to students about safety, bullying and social media issues or anything else from my previous career that may be of help.
