    Arthritis Water Class

    A gentle range of motion exercises recommended by the Arthritis Foundation.  Some time is spent in the deep water if you are comfortable.

    Monday/Wednesday/Friday:    9:00-9:45 a.m.

    Members:                                 FREE

    Non-Members:                         $2.50 per class

     

    Deep Water Workout

    Instructor: Gloria Woolson

    Zero impact, comfortably paced class that uses the water’s resistance to improve cardiovascular fitness, flexibility, range of motion and strength. This class uses floatation belts, barbells and webbed fitness gloves that are provided by the Rec Center.

    Wednesdays & Fridays:         9:00-10:00 a.m.

    Members:                             Free

    Non-Members:                     $5.00 a class

    Youth Swim Lessons-Level 1

    Starts    October 10th

    Ends     November 21st

    Instructor: Hannah Hulbert

    Children who have been in water before, and children who are beginning to learn the basics of swimming. Preferred ages between 4-7, must be able to be in the water without assistance from a parent. Children do not need to be able to swim independently, but must be able to be in the water hanging onto side of the pool by themselves. This class will teach children fundamental swimming concepts and skills. The goal for children after completion of this class is to be able to swim independently on their own in an amount of space in the pool, depending on age, size, and skill. Limited spots available.

    Thursdays:                6:00-6:30 p.m.

    Members:                  Free

    Non-Members:           $50.00

     

    Youth Swim Lessons-Level 2

    Starts    October 10th

    Ends     November 21st

    Instructor: Hannah Hulbert

    Preferred ages between 6-10. Children who have swimming experience and above beginner skills. Children are expected to swim on their own without support in the water. This class will teach children beyond the fundamentals of swimming, such as different strokes, diving, floating, and more. The goal for students after completion of this course will be to learn diving skills, building stamina for long distance/long-lasting swim, as well as build on fundamental swimming skills and strokes. Limited spots available.

    Thursdays:              6:30-7:00 p.m.
