    Youth Swim Lessons-Level 1

    Starts    March 4th

    Ends     April 17th

    Instructor: Caroline Wilkinson & Hannah Hulbert

    Children who have been in water before, and children who are beginning to learn the basics of swimming. Preferred ages between 4-7, must be able to be in the water without assistance from a parent. Children do not need to be able to swim independently, but must be able to be in the water hanging onto the side of the pool by themselves. This class will teach children fundamental swimming concepts and skills. The goal for children after completion of this class is to be able to swim independently on their own in an amount of space in the pool, depending on age, size, and skill. Limited spots available.

    Mondays & Wednesdays:         6:00-6:30 p.m.

    Youth Swim Lessons-Level 2

    Starts    March 4th

    Ends     April 17th

    Instructor: Caroline Wilkinson & Hannah Hulbert

    Preferred ages between 6-10. Children who have swimming experience and above beginner skills. Children are expected to swim on their own without support in the water. This class will teach children beyond the fundamentals of swimming, such as different strokes, diving, floating, and more. The goal for students after completion of this course will be to learn diving skills,-building stamina for long distance/long lasting-swim, as well as build on fundamental swimming skills and strokes. Limited spots available.

    Aqua Babies

    Starts    March 9th

    Ends     April 20th

    Instructor: Caroline Wilkinson

    Babies & Parents are welcome to join Aqua Babies. We will work on floats, kicking and paddling, and mostly having fun exploring the water. Babies 6 months-2 years are welcome to join. Please note that there is a minimum of 1 parent that MUST be accompanying the child, and there is a MAX of 2 parents per 1 child in the water. The goal for children and parents after completion of this program is to feel comfortable in the water with the child, and the child feeling comfortable being in the water.

    Saturdays:             9:00-9:30 am

    Members:              Free             

    Non-Members:      $3.00 per class

     

    Aqua Move & Groove

    Starts    March 16th

    Ends     April 20th

    Instructor: Caroline Wilkinson

    Must be over 16, with high energy & fun dance moves!
    High energy, fun music, and an energetic atmosphere for a fun water workout party. Water dancing is full of cardiovascular health exercises that make up a full body workout as class participants move to the music. Participants will be in the shallow end of the pool, dancing along to music and the instructor who is out of the pool.

    Arthritis Water Class

    A gentle range of motion exercises recommended by the Arthritis Foundation.  Some time is spent in the deep water if you are comfortable.

    Monday/Wednesday/Friday:   8:00-8:45 a.m.

    Non-Members:                         $2.50 per class

     

    Deep Water Workout

    Instructor: Gloria Woolson

    Zero impact, comfortably paced class that uses the water’s resistance to improve cardiovascular fitness, flexibility, range of motion and strength. This class uses floatation belts, barbells and webbed fitness gloves that are provided by the Rec Center.

    Wednesdays & Fridays:         8:00-9:00 a.m.

    Non-Members:                     $5.00 a class
